Sugar Skulz is a sugar skull art project started in 2008 by Carolina Celaya, providing community Dia De Los Muertos workshops and events throughout Southern California.  Can’t make it to one of the workshops?  Bring the sugar skull art experience home by purchasing one of our sugar skull kits or give one as a gift.  It is a unique craft appropriate for all ages six and up.  The sugar skull is an indigenous Dia De Los Muertos tradition of Mexico that traces back to the Aztecs and the sugar skull is traditionally made in honor of those who have passed away, a holiday celebrated after Halloween on November 1 and 2.  Check out our event calendar for pop-up Sugar Skulz workshops.
